Gaisce Adventure Journey
What an incredible couple of days with an AMAZING group of young people. We packed a lot in to our Adventure Journey to complete the last part of our Gaisce Bronze and Silver medals. We went to Fota Wildlife, Scoozies for a fabulous dinner, a visit to the cinema to see the new Avengers film, an overnight stay in a lovely hostel - all this in between lots of chats and laughs.

We set up a school museum where we showed technology through the ages.

The sun was shining one Friday afternoon so the Seniors decided to play soccer in the Park and have an ice-cream as a treat.
Bikes
We are delighted to have received some bikes from the very generous Paul from Rebike. We will get great use out of them especially with the Greenway on our doorstep. Thanks Paul!

We were all very happy when the Easter Bunny came to visit! We went on an Easter egg hunt and found lots of chocolate eggs!
The two most senior classes got a treat this week ordering pizza! We used money we earned ourselves to pay for the Pizza Party where we sat, listened to music, chatted and most importantly ate amazing food!
St. Patrick's Day Parade
We kicked off our St. Patrick's celebrations in style with Irish Dancing. Thanks to Mary for coming in to teach us some dances.
February 2018
The senior classes were invited on a tour of the local Garda Station. It was incredibly interesting and we all had lots of questions about the work of the Garda Síochána.
Below are images of a visit we had from Heather and Ted from Dog's Trust. She spoke to junior and senior classes about how to be safe around dogs, how to care for dogs and we all learned the best way to pet a dog.
The U18 soccer team played very well in University of Limerick.
January 2018
We started off the year with a mixed soccer blitz in Cork. We had two teams and each team played a number of games. We got on well and enjoyed the day.

Christmas Party
Thank you to the Deise Brass Band for entertaining us at our Christmas party. The had everyone up dancing.

Munster Indoor Soccer
Well done to our indoor soccer team who played very well in the Munsters in Mary I during the week. We had a great day.

Our Christmas elves are busy getting ready for our annual Christmas Market.
We have bird houses, reindeer and snowmen ornaments, Christmas tree decorations and lots more.
We will be selling our handmade delights on the 7th and 14th December in the Farmer's Market in Gratten Square and 8th and 15th December in The Country Market in the Tennis club in Abbeyside.
We would love some support and can take orders too as some of our items can even be personalised....they would make great gifts. Keep an eye for more photos!

The girls went to Portlaoise for a soccer blitz where they played five matches. They played very well and they're looking forward to their next match.
Cherrios Childline Breakfast
We all enjoyed our Cheerios breakfast this year again. Thanks to the leavers class and staff and Maria for organising it.
Cinema trip for senior classes
Senior classes took their history lesson to the cinema this week to watch a local documentary made about the social history of Gratten Square which was extremely interesting.
We get very active on a Friday afternoon!
Croke Park
Not everyone can say they played a match and scored a goal in Croke Park!!! We were very lucky to get the opportunity to play in such an amazing place.
Beat the Street
We got September off to a great start with Beat the Street. We are very excited to be competing with other teams to get as many points as we can by going for walks.
