GREEN SCHOOLS PROGRAMME 2016 TO 2018
In September 2016 our school signed up to participate in the Green Schools Environmental Programme for Biodiversity.
The aim of the programme is to increase our student's awareness of Biodiversity and to instil in them an appreciation of environmental issues.
This is a whole school initiative, it is a two year programme of work. We hope to achieve a green schools flag at the end of the two years.
Biodiversity is the term given to the variety of life on earth. It is the variety within and between all species of plants, animals and micro-organisms.
Our Fairy Garden Hotel, we commenced work on this project in September 2016. The hotel will be open for business on 21-11-2016. We look forward to seeing lots of visitors. The Fairy Garden Hotel is an indoor garden. During the school year, visitors will see a selection indoor plants on display.
