For art, we used clay to create Christmas tree decorations.
We enjoyed a few treats of course. Here we are with our in school cinema day watching Klaus. We loved it and really enjoyed the quiz after it.
Our enterprise project was the Christmas Cards, we loved sorting them, counting the money and sending them to the people who bought them.
After lockdown ended we went straight out on the bus!!! We enjoyed a hot chocolate in a local cafe and a lovely winter stroll.
We baked shortbread biscuits to decorate.

Thanks to the lotto money, we got a trip to the cinema. We were so lucky to go!

How lucky were we to get a visit from Olas the Robot from TQS to send our support to the Waterford team.
Below is the beginning stage of the Christmas card project. We designed our own cards and sent them off to be printed.
French toast and sandwiches were on the menu this week. We will never go hungry if we can make these simple foods.
Board games and card games are amazing to work on skills such as turn taking, patience and following instructions.

Great fun was had for Halloween STEAM day in the hall with Jennie and Colin.
We started making simple dishes for cookery. Our plan is to learn to cook nice and simple food that we could make at home on our own. We made pasta and noodles.
We loved carving our own pumpkins that we bought ourselves.
We marked Mental Health awareness day by painted some stones with positive messages.
A highlight of our term so far was a bus trip to Crough Woods for a cup of tea and a walk and a stop at Clonea beach on the way back.
We used our leaves that we collected in the woods to do some Autumn art.
Our topic for numeracy for Junior Cycle this month was money. We looked at receipts and bills.
We made very cute/scary spiders in cookery.
Using clay we modelled a sugar skull for our learning on Day of the Dead.

What a start to a new school year. We eased ourselves back into school life after being off for so long. We used the nice weather to get out and about as much as we could.
We took our school bus to Ardmore for a lovely day.

We got into the swing of the new routines of hand washing, masks and social distancing.

We got busy in the cookery room! Brownies, pizza, milkshakes and rocky road were on the menu.
