For art, we used clay to create Christmas tree decorations.

We enjoyed a few treats of course. Here we are with our in school cinema day watching Klaus. We loved it and really enjoyed the quiz after it.
Picture
Our enterprise project was the Christmas Cards, we loved sorting them, counting the money and sending them to the people who bought them.
Picture
After lockdown ended we went straight out on the bus!!! We enjoyed a hot chocolate in a local cafe and a lovely winter stroll.
Picture
We baked shortbread biscuits to decorate.

November

Thanks to the lotto money, we got a trip to the cinema. We were so lucky to go!

Can you tell we really enjoyed making slime????

How lucky were we to get a visit from Olas the Robot from TQS to send our support to the Waterford team.
Picture
Below is the beginning stage of the Christmas card project. We designed our own cards and sent them off to be printed.

French toast and sandwiches were on the menu this week. We will never go hungry if we can make these simple foods.
Picture
Board games and card games are amazing to work on skills such as turn taking, patience and following instructions.

We loved our art this week, folding pages in a book to create Christmas trees and Angels.

October

Great fun was had for Halloween STEAM day in the hall with Jennie and Colin.

Picture
We started making simple dishes for cookery. Our plan is to learn to cook nice and simple food that we could make at home on our own. We made pasta and noodles.
Picture
We loved carving our own pumpkins that we bought ourselves.
Picture
Picture
We marked Mental Health awareness day by painted some stones with positive messages.
Picture
A highlight of our term so far was a bus trip to Crough Woods for a cup of tea and a walk and a stop at Clonea beach on the way back.
Picture
Picture
We used our leaves that we collected in the woods to do some Autumn art.
Picture
Our topic for numeracy for Junior Cycle this month was money. We looked at receipts and bills.
Picture
We made very cute/scary spiders in cookery.
Picture
Using clay we modelled a sugar skull for our learning on Day of the Dead.

September

What a start to a new school year. We eased ourselves back into school life after being off for so long. We used the nice weather to get out and about as much as we could.
We took our school bus to Ardmore for a lovely day.
We got into the swing of the new routines of hand washing, masks and social distancing.
Picture
Picture
We did amazing self-portraits.
We got busy in the cookery room! Brownies, pizza, milkshakes and rocky road were on the menu.
